Welcome to IASD, the world’s premier dream organization.

Do you have a question about dreams or nightmares? Post your request on our Facebook Group Page. If you are studying dreams in depth, check out our booklist or search our pages for articles by dream experts. Popular topics include lucid dreaming, dream films, dream telepathy and our Dream FAQ. We highly recommend that you attend one of our Regional or International Conferences.

The location of the 41st Annual Dream Conference is the enchanting 12th century Rolduc Abbey conference facility in Kerkrade in the southern part of the Netherlands. Click here for more information.

We’re Celebrating!!

Throughout 2023, IASD will be celebrating its 40th Anniversary: forty years of encouraging dream knowledge and wisdom.  And we are inviting all dreamers, everywhere, to celebrate along with us.

We have some special events planned, created by IASD members and committees.  Thank you to all of these dedicated volunteers for giving generously of their time.  We hope you’ll join us all year long!

Many of you know Christine Anderson as the person who has been conducting interviews and filming at IASD conferences for many years now… and providing beautiful, soulful, and spirited videos about IASD ever since.

Christine Anderson is an award-winning documentary filmmaker, but just so you don’t expect a Ken Burns style experience with what you are about to see… Christine emphasizes that this short film is not a documentary. Rather, it is a “celebratory, impressionistic, love letter collage to IASD.” I would add that it is very “dreamlike.”

On behalf of IASD, thank you Christine, for pouring your heart, research, prayers, and creative process into this epic endeavor, in honor of IASD’s 40th Anniversary.

And now, we all get to sit back, relax, and enjoy what Christine has created to help us commence the 40thAnnual IASD conference!

This year IASD is celebrating its 40th Anniversary: 40 years of keeping the dream alive!  We hope that you’ll be particularly generous this year in support of the work that IASD has done.

Currently there are many people around the globe reporting “Covid-19 dreams”, which reflect the unexpected situation in which we all find ourselves. Esteemed IASD members have been contributing interviews, articles and research on dreams during the pandemic. We hope you will find this compilation of information to be useful.
This portal includes photos and bios of IASD’s DAC members; a “Diversity Response” contact email; resources in the form of websites, publications, podcasts; and links to Diversity-related exercises for dreamers such as the powerful and healing dream-incubation exercise Dolores Nurss has initiated in the IASD Facebook Group.
Interest in dreams seems to be increasing all the time while, at the same time, people have to be very selective about what they want to read. The basic idea of dreamlinks is to provide links to articles on dreaming, dream research and other dream-related topics (rather than the articles themselves) to make selecting easier: one just has to click on the link to access the webpage of interest.
IASD is happy to offer online courses in the science and psychology of dreaming and in the science of lucid dreaming for those IASD members and non-members who would like to take these as part of an independent study program.
