Welcome to IASD, the world’s premier dream organization.

Do you have a question about dreams or nightmares? Post your request on our Facebook Group Page. If you are studying dreams in depth, check out our booklist or search our pages for articles by dream experts. Popular topics include lucid dreaming, dream films, dream telepathy and our Dream FAQ. We highly recommend that you attend one of our Regional or International Conferences.

Join us for the 40th Annual International Dream Conference that will be held June 18 -22, 2023 at the Ashland Hills Hotels and Suites, in Ashland Oregon, home of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival! You will be in good company with world renowned keynote speakers and more than 130 presenters sharing their work with dreams from 20 or more countries around the globe. This is more than just a conference; it is an extravaganza of fascinating presentations and special events. Everyone is welcome – whether you are a professional, a dreamworker, researcher, student, artist, performer, author, or simply a curious, interested dreamer.

The program features peer reviewed presentations, workshops, and morning dream groups, in a multidisciplinary program including the scientific, psychological, spiritual, artistic, healing, lucid, extraordinary and multicultural aspects of dreaming. There will be many fun events such as: an Opening Reception, a Dream Art Exhibition/Reception, our annual Dream Telepathy Contest, and the ever-popular costume Dream Ball.

Please visit our conference website for details.

Announcing the Hybrid Track

IASD is offering a Hybrid track (onsite plus Zoom) as part of the 40th Annual International Conference. The Hybrid track will run during the four main days of the Conference. It is highlighted and marked as Hybrid on the Schedule at a Glance. It includes selected lecture sessions as well as the addresses by the invited research speakers Jayne Gackenbach and Mark Blagrove as Keynote. The Hybrid track is open to all onsite participants as well as those joining us virtually via Zoom.

If you cannot join us in person in Ashland, the Hybrid conference track is for you!

We have some special events planned, created by IASD members and committees.  Thank you to all of these dedicated volunteers for giving generously of their time.  We hope you’ll join us all year long!

Currently there are many people around the globe reporting “Covid-19 dreams”, which reflect the unexpected situation in which we all find ourselves. Esteemed IASD members have been contributing interviews, articles and research on dreams during the pandemic. We hope you will find this compilation of information to be useful.
This portal includes photos and bios of IASD’s DAC members; a “Diversity Response” contact email; resources in the form of websites, publications, podcasts; and links to Diversity-related exercises for dreamers such as the powerful and healing dream-incubation exercise Dolores Nurss has initiated in the IASD Facebook Group.
Interest in dreams seems to be increasing all the time while, at the same time, people have to be very selective about what they want to read. The basic idea of dreamlinks is to provide links to articles on dreaming, dream research and other dream-related topics (rather than the articles themselves) to make selecting easier: one just has to click on the link to access the webpage of interest.
IASD is happy to offer online courses in the science and psychology of dreaming and in the science of lucid dreaming for those IASD members and non-members who would like to take these as part of an independent study program.
