August 21, 2005 My Old Analyst Comes Back from the Dead
I am in a crowded shopping mall when I spot my old Jungian Analyst pointing her finger at me from across the mall. She tells me I have to be more assertive and that my dream art needs much more attention. She picks through my hair searching for cancerous sores on my scalp. Yes there are quite a few, just as she thought, but she tells me not to worry, they can be healed. She pulls out her scissors and cuts my hair.

March 24, 2006 Childhood Torn Apart
A male friend of mine and I are standing on a balcony overlooking the beach where our children are playing together. My friend is so unhappy! I know his heart has been broken. I want to make him feel better. I suggest a massage. We leave the balcony and move into the bedroom. Suddenly I become aware of the silence. I can’t hear the children anymore. I return to the balcony to check on them. Dead and dismembered little body parts are scattered all over the sand! They’ve torn each other apart! I can’t believe my eyes!

July 12, 2006 Rejection and Abandonment
I am in love with my therapist. I embrace him and kiss him passionately on the mouth. He disappears into a building. I wait and wait for him to come out. A close friend breaks the news to me, he is never coming out again. I have to accept this. Now my brother is steering me through a cold Christmas night. We have presents in our arms to bring home to the family. I am resigned to my old role in life but I feel permanently bereft and life has lost its savor.

September 14, 2006 Serpent Rising
I am standing at the edge of a cove or inlet looking over the water when the head of a giant snake surfaces from the water. I call my husband to come see. We watch in awe as this snake encircles the cove. It is so enormous that it fills the entire body of water. Suddenly the snake raises its head like a cobra and lunges toward me. For one moment we are staring at each other eye to eye. I am astonished but I have no fear, until I hear a male voice whisper, “don’t let it bite you!” My husband and I turn and run.

September 27, 2007 Out of the Woods
I have hiked deep into the forest and am on my way home when I see a beautiful stag. Two female deer keep close to him. Now I see a small house close by and find myself approaching it. A young child-woman lives there. She has been waiting for me and wants to come home with me.
