I belong to an art motivation group, and we pull a theme from a hat every two weeks. By the end of the two weeks we all present a finished piece based on that theme.
One of the thematic items was the word “Fences”
I was having a difficult time arriving at an image, so I fell asleep with the intention to find a dream solution to the art piece. I had only a brief snippet dream of an American flag. It was when I woke up when I figured it all out - American Dream: the quintessential dream of home ownership with a white picket fence in the country. So I took a self portrait of myself, then all the dream elements, merged them together and this is the result.
