Announcement:
The Second Annual IASD
Student Awards Contest
Thanks to a generous grant from an
anonymous donor, IASD once again offers graduate and undergraduate
students the opportunity to compete for $500.00 awards in two
different categories: The first for the best student submission
of Original Research on Dreams, and the second for the best
student submission of Creative Work (fiction, poetry, graphic
art, music, multimedia, etc.) on Dreams.
Participants in Category 1 should submit papers describing
Original Research on Dreams in the sciences, the social sciences,
and the humanities. Participants in Category 2 should submit
graphic, music, video or text files of their Creative Work on Dreams.
All participants must submit their presentations in electronic form,
preferably through email (
office@asdreams.org ) or if necessary by mailing the files copied to
a CD or a DVD to the IASD office by April 15, 2006 (1672

- Participants should submit text in MS
Word, and artwork in .jpg, .tif, or .pdf formats. Participants can also
electronically submit videos in AVI formats, or music in MIDI or MPS
formats.
- Submissions must include a copy of your
student ID. Alternatively, you can fax a copy to the IASD Office at
1-209-724-0889.
Participants agree that should
they receive an award, they will make their presentations available to the
IASD membership, either by presenting at the 2006 or
2007 IASD Conference or the 2006 PsiberDreaming Conference,
and/or through publication in a future issue of Dreaming, DreamTime,
or by making their presentation available online on the IASD website.
Members of the IASD Student Awards Committee will judge
submissions based on their overall quality, and on the originality and
importance of their contributions to the field of Dream Studies.
IASD will announce the authors of winning presentations, as well
as authors of presentations earning honorable mentions, at an awards
ceremony at the IASD 2006
