Wyndham O'Hare is a contemporary-style Chicago area hotel, five minutes from O'Hare International Airport. Be sure to read about Booking a Room at a Special Discount to Conference Attendees (before June 20th and before the block of rooms are sold out!).
Hotel Services and Amenities: The Wyndham O’Hare offers many services and amenities. Enjoy free 24-hour airport shuttle service, a 24-hour fitness center, complete with treadmills, stair machines, life cycles, free weights and universal-type equipment, a 24 hour business center, with access to printing, faxing, and copying services, a gift shop, ATM, and indoor and outdoor pools.
Guest Rooms: All guest rooms offer voice mail, data port, and wired and wireless Wayport high-speed Internet access, cable television, Pay-Per-View movies, and a complimentary USA Today newspaper delivered to your door each morning. Standard amenities such as a coffee maker, hair dryer and iron and ironing board are also available in all guest rooms. Non-smoking rooms are available. Room service is available 24/7. Check-out time is 12 noon.
Guests with Disabilities: Wyndham O'Hare complies with the 1990 Americans with Disabilities Act. Handicap parking is available. Some facilities, services and features may be subject to availability. Please check with the hotel to verify specific property features or room accommodations.
Parking: Parking is at the reduced rate of $10 per day for hotel guests. For all others parking is $10 per visit. Special $10 reduced rate parking tickets for non-overnight guests and those visiting for the day will be available at registration. Please visit the IASD registration desk to request a reduced parking ticket.
Dining: Barley's Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Daily breakfast buffets are available, as well as a la carte dining. Maxie's Bar & Grill, the other on-site restaurant, serves a pub menu for lunch & dinner and features big-screen TV's, games and pool tables. Bradleys’ Lobby Lounge serves martinis, cigars, and handcrafted beers along with specialty drinks and appetizers. (Smoking permitted only at Bradley’s Lobby Lounge)
The Earth Dreaming pre-registered luncheon buffet package includes lunch for all 4 days of the conference (Saturday – Tuesday). Buffet includes meat, vegetarian and vegan options. The hotel restaurant is also available for those not participating in the buffet package and for single day registrants.
Special Events: Afternoon in the City
Sunday, June 28, 2009, Yellow school busses will transport pre-registered conference participants to downtown Chicago, across from the Art Institute of Chicago and next to The Taste of Chicago, (the world’s biggest outdoor food festival and entertainment venue). Pick up time from the Wyndham O’Hare Hotel is 4:30pm. Busses leave from the Chicago loop drop-off point at 7:45pm to return to the hotel.
Special Event: Earth Dreaming Nature Hike led by Alan Siegel
Sunday, June 28, 2009, 4:30 – 6:30pm, Meet in lobby at 4:30pm. Hike with fellow dreamers in a beautiful regional park near the conference site to commune with nature, relax, experience the plants and birds, network, get exercise to balance other sedentary conference events, share dreams with themes of nature, the environment, wilderness and explore how dreaming and dream sharing can help to heal the planet. Travel in the hotel shuttle bus or carpool to Busse Woods. Directions and maps will be available. Bring water, a nourishing snack or food to share and good shoes for hiking.
Booking a Room at Special Discount
Rooms at the hotel must be booked directly with the hotel by contacting the Wyndham O’Hare at Tel: 847-297-1234 and asking for the IASD conference discount.
Book by calling the Hotel directly at 847.297.1234 (preferred number) or at 1-800-WYNDHAM. You can also register through the Wyndham website at http://www.wyndhamohare.com Enter your arrival and departure dates and click on “Search using Corporate, Promo and Group codes” When the new window appears enter our group code – 0626859dr- in the group code box. Then click on the “Search” button. This will take you to the Wyndham/IASD page where you can click on the room rate amount to start the registration process.
Note: we regret that NO rooms will be available at the reduced rate after 20 June 2009.
Also our block of discounted rooms at the Hotel are limited to 115 rooms and after that the IASD discount will be available only on a space available basis, so we strongly advise you to register for your hotel room early for the best chance of staying at the Hotel site.
