Invitation

The International Association for the Study of Dreams (IASD) invites you to be an exhibitor, advertiser, or sponsor for the 25th annual conference at the Hotel Auberge Universel in Montreal, Canada.

The conference dates are
July 8 - July 13, 2008.

IASD

The IASD is a nonprofit, international, multidisciplinary organization dedicated to the pure and applied investigation of dreams and dreaming. Its purpose is to promote an awareness and appreciation of dreams in both professional and public arenas; to encourage research into the nature, function, and significance of dreaming; to advance the application of the study of dreams; and to provide a forum for the eclectic and interdisciplinary exchange of ideas and information. IASD is open to anyone who studies, explores, or works with dreams. Membership represents about 30 countries and people from all disciplines including: psychology, psychiatry, social work, education at all levels, religious studies, anthropology, medicine, the expressive and performing arts, literature, philosophy, humanities and business.

The Conference

The IASD conferences have spanned the globe over the past two decades. Online we provide schedules, updates, and help planning your conference needs, from accommodations to travel to key contacts and discounts.

The IASD international conferences are attended by sleep researchers, psychotherapists, physicians, anthropologists, authors, artists, dreamworkers, and more and are famous for our well-known attendees such as William Dement, M.D. (internationally known for his sleep research) and Peter Kingsley, author. They also offer a wide variety of forums for the exchange of information and ideas. Panel discussions and paper reviews allow for maximum contact. Workshops and dream groups provide practical experience with a variety of techniques and theories. Special lunches, hikes, and social settings provide more extended personal contact. Special networking rooms, meetings, and forums allow for planning and a wider range of activities. Each year the conference is topped off with the Dream Ball, a fabulous costume dream party.

Our annual conference attendance has grown from 125 in 1972 to more than 350 in 2007, being held in such places as: San Francisco, CA; Charlottesville, VA; Ottawa, Canada; Arlington, VA; Santa Cruz, CA; London, England; Chicago, IL; Moscow, Russia; Washington, D.C.; Boston, MA; Berkeley, CA; Copenhagen, Denmark.
