Restaurants
A buffet dinner is served each night in the hotel. The dinner break is 90 minutes. For those who want to explore Montreal’s famous reputation for good food, there are many restaurants within a very close distance. Most are quite economical with a wide range of choices, and some very good food too! There are also a couple of choices on this list that are a bit pricy but that are terrific.
Ontario Street
BY CAB If you plan on being back for the evening session, the best way to get there is to a 5-10 minute taxi ride; sharing the cab with a dinner partner, you can get where you need to go for about 5.00 each.
BY BUS Exit the hotel and turn left to Viau Street. Turn left on to Ontario Street and take a 10 minute walk to the Metro Pie IX station to pick up the 125 bus along Ontario Street to any of the restaurants listed here.
Or take the 132 bus on Viau to the Metro Pie IX station if you prefer to walk. Keep your ticket to use as a transfer.
Ontario Street restaurants are 15-20 minutes by bus from the hotel, so if you are trying to get to them by bus during the 90-minute dinner break, ask the hotel concierge for the bus schedule so you can plan your timing.
Sherbrooke Street
Exit the hotel, turn right, and walk along Sherbrooke. The restaurants begin with Madison’s New York Bar and Grill, which is a 3 -minute walk. All the others listed here follow one after the other within about a 15-minute walk. You can also take a very short cab ride, or take the Sherbrooke Street 185 bus.
Other Restaurants…..and Shopping!!
At any time during the conference, should you want to find your way Downtown by Metro, you can either walk to the Pie IX Metro down Viau Street, or hop on the 132 bus on Viau. It’s only a stop or two away. Once you are on the Metro, the heart of Downtown is about only 10 minutes away. Restaurants on Ontario and Sherbrooke Streets are fairly close to the hotel; others are a short cab ride away.
