For the past three years, IASD Vice President, Curt Hoffman, has pledged a dollar a dream for each dream he’s recorded in the previous year to our annual Pledge Drive. This generous donation has each year provided scholarship funding for the IASD Membership Conference.
Further, Curt has issued a challenge to all other IASD members to do the same thing: to donate one unit of any currency you might live with for each dream you recorded during the past year—to promoting dream study, dream research, and dream education.
Think what might happen if we all did that!
This year donations toward conference scholarships began early, with a generous award of Cdn $1,675.00 from "Le Centre d'étude des rêves de Montréal", with the stipulation that scholarships be awarded to young people under the age of thirty, and that at least one of the recipients be from the Montreal area.
Generally, conference scholarships are awarded first to conference presenters, and always based on need. So if you know a student or young person—or other deserving individual—who might benefit from conference attendance, pass the word along. IASD in turn also benefits immeasurably from the ideas and insights contributed by those who receive conference scholarships.
