MARKING THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY
The Art and Science of Dreaming:
Two charter members of the IASD will open the conference with a multi-media presentation that traces one night of sleep -- from Hypnagogia to Hypnopompia (i.e., from the onset of sleep to wakefulness). The presentation will incorporate scientific discoveries by employing visual imagery, video, and poetic live appearances. The work of many IASD members will be intertwined in the program, which will provide a prospect for viewing progress of the past quarter century and a portrait of current issues in dream studies.
These lead off presenters are Fariba Bogzaran, Ph.D., Founding Director of the Dream Studies Program at John F. Kennedy University in Berkeley California, and Daniel Deslauriers, Ph.D., Professor of the East-West Psychology Program at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco.
