From New York City – C. 6.5 hours
I-87 New York State Thruway to Directions from Highway 87 New York State to Autoroute 15 Nord/North. That’s the highway you are on right after crossing the border.
In approximately 33 miles, follow signs for Montreal, for The Champlain Bridge. Careful. There are several bridges to choose from. Take the Champlain Bridge.
After the bridge continue on the highway. Don’t get off. You’ll stay on the road for roughly 5 miles. Stay in your right lane because you will soon see the 720 East. That’s the road you want in the direction of Centre Ville (Downtown).
Take the 720 East straight to Pie IX. There’s a stop light at Pie IX. Turn left up to Sherbrooke Street.
Turn right at Sherbrooke Street. Follow the addresses to 5000 Sherbrooke Street East. It’s about 2 miles from Pie IX.
From Boston MA – C. 5.5 hours
I-89 N to Autoroute 133 Nord/North – Autoroute de la Vallee-des-Forts. Exit for Autoroute 35 Nord/North. Take ramp for Autoroute 10 Ouest/West Montreal. Exit #58 for Montreal/Centreville/Downtown, continuing on Auotroute 10 Ouest/West. Exit onto Autoroute 720 Est/East Autroute Ville-Marie. Exit 7 Pont Jacques-Cartier/Ave Papineau/Ave de Lorimier. Bear left on Rue Notre-Dame. Bear left on Ave De Lorimier. Right on Rue Sherbrooke. C. 2.5 miles to Hotel Auberge Universel, 5000 Rue Sherbrooke Est [yahoo maps]

From Airport to Hotel
By car:
Hotel Auberge Universel, 5000 Rue Sherbrooke Est.
Proceed out of the airport. About 150 yards after you’ve left the airport, there is a split in the road that happens right at The Hotel.
Stay in your right lane at the split.
Follow 520 East towards Centre Ville. In roughly 3 kilometers, you will come to a light. You will see a ramp straight ahead of you. Go up the ramp, and veer left to merge on to the main highway (Highway 40 East)
Stay in the center or right lane and continue straight following 40 East, all the way to Viau. It’s roughly 10 miles.
Exit at Viau. Follow Viau Sud (South). Turn right at Viau Street.
Take Viau straight ahead all the way to Sherbrooke Street. When you see the pyramid shaped apartments (Olympic Village) in the distance, you’ll know you’re coming up on Sherbrooke Street.
Take a left at Sherbrooke Street. The hotel is right there!
