CONFERENCE REGISTRATION:

The 24th Annual IASD Dream Conference will be held on the campus of Sonoma State University, located an hour north of San Francisco, California, in beautiful wine country. This year’s conference includes morning and afternoon Pre-Conference Workshops on Friday; keynote speakers and daily receptions throughout the conference; a dream-related art exhibit; a special-event Wine-Tasting at the Lakes; the celebratory end-of-conference Dream Ball; and an option for an extended day post-conference to enjoy the July 4th Independence Day on the Green at SSU, fireworks included.

Register early for discounted rates! Also note that single rooms are limited, so register early to ensure the space you desire.  Become an IASD member and enjoy the discounted membership rate.

Thinking of attending for only a single day?  You may register on-site if space is available at a rate of $140 / day for IASD members, $160/day for non-members.

CAMPUS LODGING & MEAL RESERVATIONS:

Campus lodging is provided in Sauvignon Village, a two-story cluster of town-house apartments off the green, adjacent to the Cooperage, where the main conference events will be held.  Lodging includes four locked bedrooms (singles and doubles) with private baths; living room; and kitchen.  High-speed internet access is available –you must provide your own Ethernet cable to hook up.  The lodging – meal package provides for one set of bed linens & towels, soap, parking, and three meals a day beginning with lunch on Friday.

Conference attendees staying on campus sign up for the five-day lodging - meal package, with all meals provided in the Zinfandel Dining Commons.  Zinfandel provides a selection of food for all nutritional orientations, vegan included.  Attendees not staying on campus have access to two small on-campus eateries, Charlie Brown’s for breakfast and lunch, the Grill (an outdoor summer grill) for lunch, as well as neighborhood eateries (Shangri-la  for Nepalese food), Taco Bell, a juice bar, and a Starbucks across the street from campus.  Due to space issues, those not registering for the on-campus lodging – meal package will not have access to the Zinfandel Dining Commons for meals during the conference

DISCOUNTED DOUBLE LODGING RATES:

Discounted rates are offered for double occupancy for attendees that have a partner or roommate, or who wish to have a roommate assigned.  If you have a partner joining you in the room then both persons, whether attending the conference or not, should register separately to ensure that meals and rooms are reserved under each name.  Specify double occupancy on both forms, and each person should place the name of the roommate on the form so that we can match roommates.  If your partner or roommate is not registering for the conference, they should note that on the registration form (check the box) and register only for the lodging-meal package and other events they wish to join with you.  If you wish to have a roommate assigned, note that in space for the roommate name.  Please note that if you are staying for pre-conference and/or post-conference days, you will be staying in the same room as your full-conference stay. If your full-conference roommate does not attend these days, you will be charged for the room at the single rate.

PRE-CONFERENCE SESSIONS NEW THIS YEAR:

If you would like intensive training in skills or knowledge related to dreams, we are offering three morning and three afternoon pre-conference workshops.  Registration information will be available on the web early in 07.  If you wish to wait to register for pre-conference, we highly encourage you to register for the main conference and housing/meals now.  You may come back later and add the pre-conference.

INDEPENDENCE DAY ON THE GREEN:

Sonoma State hosts a music, fireworks, food, wine, and spirit-filled celebration by the lakes on the 4th of July, a national holiday in the United States.  Independence Day on the Green  in the past has welcomed the Santa Rosa Symphony with music spanning American heartland and ethnic favorites such as Dixieland, Cajun, mariachi, and patriotic.  The event begins at 4pm and ends at 10pm with fireworks—a vivacious community party with music and dancing.  Admission is independent of the conference, and can be ordered close to the event on-line at cityboxoffice.com  or tickets.com  .  Admission in the past has run $35 for adults for lawn seating, $55 for chair seating.  Box dinners are about $20.  Beverages and spirits are extra.  Bring jackets and a blanket—it gets chilly in the evening!

PRE- AND POST-CONFERENCE HOUSING:

Attendees who wish to attend the pre-conference sessions or who would like to extend their stay for the Independence Day on the Green  4th of July celebration at SSU may register for pre- and post- conference housing, which are separate from the full-conference package.  Only those registering for the on-campus full-conference lodging - meal package can register for pre-conference and post-conference housing.  Lodging will be in the Sirah housing cluster in Sauvignon Village, adjacent to the Cooperage, and will be in the same room as the full-conference stay—so if you’re registering for single or double full-conference housing, you must register for the same in pre- or post-conference housing in order to maintain the same room. If your full-conference roommate does not attend these days, you will be charged for the room at the single rate.  The package of one set of bed linens and towels, soap, and parking begins on the pre-conference day Thursday, and extends to the post-day checkout on Thursday, for those choosing these options.  Meals in Zinfandel Dining Commons are not provided during the pre-conference and post-conference stay (meals begin with Lunch on Friday).

See these pages for information on local hotels, restaurants, and neighborhood cafes and eateries

SONOMA WEATHER:

The weather in Sonoma is hot and dry in the summer.  Daily temperatures can rise into the 80’s to high 90’s, thus all event spaces are air conditioned. Evening fog brings nighttime temperatures typically in the 60s to low 70s, thus guest rooms are not air conditioned but do remain cool and comfortable in the dry climate.  If you prefer to stay off-campus, click here for lodging options at area hotels (note that a car or cab will be required for off-campus transportation).
