Dreamplayers - Turning Children's Dreams into Art 

Sara Ridberg

Sara Ridberg lives in New York City where she leads workshops in elementary schools and after-school programs on using dreams to inspire creative projects. Sara is also in the first class of the New England Dreamwork Institute where she is working toward her Dreamwork certification. She is also an actress, singer, playwright, and freelance American Sign Language Interpreter.

Summary of Presentation

Children become Dreamplayers when they use their dreams to inspire creativity. In her program, Sara Ridberg guides children to create art, theatre, poetry and stories,  all drawn from their imaginative dream characters and events.

1)  What are some challenges of working with children, teachers and parents in this kind of work?

3)  What are the benefits in this kind of work for children and the community?
